J. Peter Melrose, BA, is a solution-oriented healthcare provider information technology (IT) professional and innovative leader. Currently, he is the founder and Principal Consultant at CHARTSaaS, LLC, a corporation focused on development and delivery of an IT solution for use by professional and organizational healthcare providers to create and operate IT applications a.k.a. “apps” for real-time cognitive support in the conduct of administrative and clinical use cases. The IT solution is named Cloud Healthcare Application Real-Time (CHART) solution as a service. During his forty-five year professional career, Pete has worked as an informatics researcher focused on multi-variate statistical analysis for psychiatric diagnosis, a business analyst, a telecom internal auditor, a software inventor and developer and manager, an addiction treatment organization board Chair, a full-time and out-sourced Chief Information Officer at both private and public sector healthcare enterprises, a product and project manager at independent software vendor firms, an healthcare IT strategic planning and regulatory compliance consultant, an entrepreneur, and the founder and President of a not-for-profit organization for healthcare provider IT solution development. While at IBM, he was a General Business Services consultant in government and healthcare engagements, a certified Project Management Professional®, and the Worldwide Middleware Marketing Manager for Healthcare and Life Sciences with an emphasis on business process management and service-oriented architecture products and both development and implementation projects. Integral with his professional activity, Pete has presented and published regarding most of his innovative and thought leadership management and IT projects.
